Remember when Teletubbies first came out?

At the time, there was a little bit of a hoopla about whether or not some of them were homose*ual and therefore good for children to watch. Remember? Well, now it seems as if Poland is worried about the same thing. Check it out http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/05/28/AR2007052800449.html?hpid=sec-world

I do remember when the teletubbies first came out. I never had a problem with that show. My daughter loved and we watched it every day. She hasn't turned out gay or weird from watching the show at all. She may be a tomboy. Just a little bit. But I think that has to do with her having to older brothers and a momma who doesn't wear dresses. I think Poland needs to stop worrying about it and noticed that it hasn't made any difference in the USA. It was just a preacher using a child's tv show to promote his own agenda. That is all.

My daughter didn't suffer from watching it either and now we are starting to interest the baby (she is 17 months) into watching them. Shoot any TV show that gives me 10 minutes of quiet to take a shower is worth it to me LOL

I have never watched the teletubbies except to check out concerning all the hoopla about subliminal homose*ual content. Yes, such content is in the teletubbies. It is obvious. No, that content is not necessarily harmful. It is not a big deal, but the people who say it is there are not crazy. The big question is why do so many people get so upset when such an obvious thing is pointed out?

Isn't it ridiculous? My children grew up with the teletubbies and we still have a few old videos from those days. None of my kids even thought there was anything wrong with them. In fact I think they thought tinkywinks was a girl. I don't think it was an issue to tell them otherwise. I don't think people realise that children don't really care at that age. They just saw them having fun, learned a few things and enjoyed watching the tubby custard spill everywhere!!!!

i must confess that I had never heard a word about teletubbies before my three nephews were born!!! It was a friend of mine who suggested that I bought Teletubbies DVD for the twins to help them with learning language..wow..this was my first time with them. My nephews like them very much..they are there watching like enchanted by music and colours and I think that there is nothing wrong with them apart for the fact that teletubbies can get on adult's nerves after one or two times while children are never satisfied and never say that it is enough!
