Is it beter to start a new discussion or respond to discussion?

Well I have been told and seen on other discussions that it is better to respond to others discussions then to start new ones. Apparently mylot pays more for responding to discussions than they do for starting new ones. I have also heard that the only way you earn with starting discussions is if you have people respond to them. So if you start a discussion and get 0 responses then you will not get paid for that discussion. In closing, I have also seen that it is not the quantity of posts you make, but the quality of the posts that earns more money.

I prefer to respond to discussions mostly, but if I come up with a good idea for a new discussion, I will post it also. I can usually think of responses much more easily than I can come up with ideas for discussions though.

I think it works both ways, you start a new discussion if you're hankering about something and want others opinions. And you respond to discussions on topics you are actually interested in and may have something intelligble to say about. I think sometimes we do post interesting discussions but sometimes it gets smothered by all the other discussions that are posted by the minute by the thousands of mylotters so sometimes our posts gets left behind and we dont' actually see some of our posts answered, I do not believe it's simply because we dont' post interesting topics, it just gets piled under a lot of other discussions.

Well it all depends on what you think. If you think that you are here to only share your views, be it through a discussion or a reply, then, you can go on starting discussions. But if you are thinking about making money only, then you should make more responses. That is because there are no guarantees that all of your discussions will be answered. But I prefer both. I start new discussions whenever I come by a new idea or fact or topic, and go on responding to the other topics.

I tend to respond more because I am always worried if I am starting a discussion that there are 10 other of the same discussions out there. I prefer to respond because it's less work for me. I don't have to worry about replying to responses and keeping up. LOL I guess it means less work, more pay. LOL

For me, it depends on the purpose of the discussion. There are times when I am searching for a specific bit of information, and if I can't find it, then I start a new discussion. But in terms of subjects that are already in play, I think responding to existing discussions is best.

It really depends on what you think. I find it easier to respond to other discussions. I sometimes start a new one when I get a good idea on what to post. Sometimes I will fill motivated some days and come up with a lot of interesting topics. Other times it mind blogging. Which ever you choose isn't necessarily better. Just share your opinion regardless of starting a new discussion or responding to one. There are many ways on Mylot in which you can express yourself. You just have to choose which works for you. That's the best choice!

for me..i think it's more easier to responds to other's discussion than making your own topic.because you're just to respond and share your opinion to the topic they've been post.the good thing is if the poster was satisfied to your respond they would rate you or make your response as a best at the same time your reputation will increase..

To me the best thing to do is respond to discussions others started. Since almost every topic has already a discussion here in myLot if people use the search button there wouldn't be the need of creating repetitive discussions. And just because you start a discussion t doesn't mean you get many responses. most of the time it won't unless you put a nice looking girl in your avatar :) at least this is the strategy of some here in myLot.

I think it is easy to reply other's post . it is hard to start a good topic for me now. when I am a new one here, I think it is easy to start new topic, but then I found it is harder and harder to start new post, as I already post so many new post. then I only reply the post and only start new ones when something happened on me . or I have something to share , or I want to ask help from mylot friends. good luck with you , friends.
