Hope to see in the player roster next season.. D-Nowitzki J-howard J-Stachouse J-Terry

I was a Dallas fan before, when they still had their Big-3 (Nowitzki, Nash and Finley). But since then, things have changed. With Nash's and Finley's departure from the team, it became Dirk's team all by himself. He is the core of that team if you can put it that way. The Dallas Mavericks have indeed a tremendous season this year. Almost winning 70 Games during the regular season and Dirk even winning the prestigious Season's MVP award, who actually won it twice by former team mate Steve Nash. After winning so many games, many would have thought that they are going to return to the NBA Finals this year. However, that dream came up short again, even shorter than last year. They only made it to the Elimination round but literally were "eliminated" by the underdogs, the Golden State Warriors. People around here are saying that Dallas "choked" again. They definitely were expecting the Mavericks to make a big impact during the post season. But I guess, Warriors had the will to fight back, and fight back they did. Warriors were "more hungrier" than the Mavericks. Perhaps the Mavericks underestimated their opponents. In the Playoffs, you should never underestimate your opponents. You will never know what will happen eventually. Playoffs is far more different than the Regular Season. In my opinion, Dallas should keep the team they have right now. They should try to get completely healthy and focus on next season. They have still a pretty good team in their hands. But if I were to get rid of one or two players from that line-up, I would have a stronger power forward instead. That's it I guess. Good luck to the Mavericks for next year. =)

you are absolutely right..Even me before the season starts i expect the Mavs are more hungrier after a lost in NBA finals, and this will be the motivation for them to get back to the NBA Finals..but unfortunately they're eliminated at the first round..Well good luck for them next season..And I'm still the number 1 fan of the MAvs..

I'm not a Dallas fan- I'm a fan first of the Lakers - and then the Knicks- I can say I was glad that the Mavs were knocked out of the playoffs- I'm sorry! You guys had a great season- Dirk won MVP-- and I swore that Kobe should have won it- and I'm sticking by it- I think they need a less- hot headed owner- perhaps even a new coach- to do that well in regular season- produce the MVP of the league- and get knocked out early in the playoffs- something needs to change!

I think the Dallas Mavericks will still stick to the team they were during the last season.. 67 wins is not bad in fact it is their franchise record.. What happen to them in the play-offs is just a case of misfortune and at the same time carelessness. their attitude towards the end of the season led them to their downfall.. That is the only thing they need to change right now.. That attitude of being hungry all througout the end, and the understanding that it is not over till its over.. They don't need any trades, once they change that attitude then they have huge chance of making it to the finals again...

Yes man what a shocker. The Golden State warriors played with alot of heart and notthing to loose. DOn Nelson being our coach for so long knew how to exploit our weaknesses and he did just that. it is very disheartening knowing you go 67 + only to loose int he first round of the playoffs. It really was just as bad as us giving away our championship to the Heat. I just hope we can do somethign this year. I'll pray . go MAVS!!!
