When was the last time you went to your native place?

The last time I went to the Dominican Republic was about a year ago. I live in the country over there (here in the states I live in the city) so it's definitely a big change. The water is cold (because we have to draw it up) so my first few nights I would boil it and then let it sit.. haha! But eventually I got used to it. There's also a lot of mosquitoes and the power goes out daily, but I still love it. I find that people don't work as often over there, people work to live - they don't live to work, and that a great thing to see. Every night they sit out and play cards or dominoes or bingo with neighbors and drink and talk.. it's just different in every way possible. I adore it there! =)
