Are you an active person? How often do you hit the gym (or exercise)?

Yes...I think that almost everyone agrees that going to gym is a pain in the b*tt? =p~~ For some of us, it becomes easier (note: not easy, but easier!!) when going to gym or exercising has become a habit..it becomes even better when it becomes a hobby.. To me personally, it is always hard going back to the gym no matter if I have a day break, 3 day break, or no day break at all... =p~ In average, I go to gym from 1-3 times a week, which is a very good head start for me who used to not exercise at all and be lazy... I want it to become a habit so that on the day that I don't exercise, I find a 'need' or 'desire' within myself to go back to the gym.. I usually spend about 30 minutes on elliptical at least... On the days that I have more energy and am not lazy, I find myself doing extra minutes of biking, lifting, or just doing some sit-ups.. How about you? Do you exercise regularly? What kind of exercise do you usually do? How often? For those who exercise not in the gym (maybe jogging, playing soccer or basketball, etc), do you find it easier to push yourself to exercise since it is more like a recreational activity instead of working out?

I've been trying to exercise every day lately, but it doesn't always happen! lol I probably end up exercising about 4 or 5 days a week. It's hard to find the time or energy for it sometimes, but I do always feel much better afterward. :)

That is still awesome, elisa812! I always feel the same way... It was really hard to go, but once I go and have some exercise, I feel that I have so much more energy afterwards..though before I go, I'd feel too tired to do anything... LOL... Just keep doing it... Keep up the good work... I believe that if you keep doing it, someday it will happen! =D

I am at the gym probably 3 times a week, with the other two days simple running/walking. When I am at the gym, I have a routine. 30 mins on a stationary bike to get my blood pumping, then 1 hour of lifting and another hour of bike/elliptical work before a 15 min cool down on a bike, but I can substitute the elliptical for a swim in the pool. When I don't got to gym, I'll play basketball or go for a nice solid run through the neighborhood. It's really the same for me, either the gym or working out on my own. It's a little bit of time for me to just work on my own before everything else in life seems to also get in the way.

Wow... You're a super active person!! Have you always been active since you were younger?!?? =) It was hard for me to be active in the beginning... I came from a family that were not very active when I grew up...well, my dad is active... He used to play tennis regularly, and now he teaches ping pong regularly...and only a few years ago, my parents started to be active by having a solid long walk/running every morning... However, when I grew up, sports or being active was never encouraged to me... Academic achievements are much more important than sports... It actually feels awesome to learn to live healthy by eating healthy and exercising... I'm not there yet, but I'm on my way... I'm definitely eager to learn more about being active to be a healthy person... =) Thanks for your post, thrwbckjay67!

Well I guess if you're not loosing weight as much even if you exercise like hell or gaining weight even if you eat a lot, you probably have your bone structure to blame. One of the 3 is naturally fat so it's harder to actually loose weight while the other is naturally slim so it's harder to gain weight.
