Earning more on MyLot...

I was just wondering, I have been doing a lot of posting and yet I only usually just get less than $1 a day of earnings. I would just like to ask on what's the best way of earning more money here on MyLot. Is it by posting lots of responses, posting lots of pictures, posting lots of discussions, or getting lots of referrals? Does someone here actually know the rate or percentage on how much we earn everytime we post or make a discussion or post photos? I'm just confused and would really love to know how some people earn more than a dollar a day here. Hope you could help me out. Thanks!

If you want to earn more than a dollar a day, you need to do more than a dollar a day's work. I've been experimenting here at mylot for the last two months, trying different things everyday. I find that the most earnings are from responding to other people's topics and discussions. If you are looking to earn a mass amount of money in a short amount of time, this is not the site for you( unless you work very hard). If you want to earn alot each day, do more than 100+ reponses every day, and try to start 1-5 discussions. Work, work, and more work.

A while ago I asked myself the same questions as you have posted here.
My answer is: Keep posting, learn on the go and stay with mylot.
I am here less than 5 weeks and I hope that I can make it to payout by the end of the month.
Yesterday I posted a lot and uploaded several pictures and BINGO I junped fromm 8.22 to 9.29.
I do not have referrals.
I make one cent per post. I make quality posts, at least 4 to five lines long. I tag everything, if possible several tags. And I rate! The difference from amount of posts to money are the pictures I have uploaded.
I do not open up many discussions and I do not have top notch discussions. I rate everybody who writes a reply. And I chose best answers.
Reading is more important than posting, I am learning for life. I really like mylot.

we get about a cent a post,
and 1 quarter of what your referrals make, but most of my referrals never post anyway.
It is difficult to make more than a dollar a day on mylot.

What you've enumerated above are all correct, so make sure that you do all of those stuffs here to make a good earning.
Try posting to atleast 30 discussions(started/replied to) a day -right before our earnings get updated.
Upload a photo everytime you post, I think we also have limitations in uploading them and make sure that it has relevance with the said topic.
Get referrals, from you family members or friends. Try to post it also on their sites, that allows posting referral links.
Rate positive and choose a best response to other members, this also gives an added bonus at your earnings.

I used to earn a bit more than $1.00 per day, before Easter.
After then, I believe the rates went down. I have not been able to earn $1.00 since. There are a few My Lotters who appear to know approximately the rates, so hopefully they respond o this.
As far as I can tell, the best way of earning is to respond a lot, as much as you can.

all you have to do is that you have to make good responses.. they should be elaborate and descriptive and should be of good english.

I have found that the best way to earn at least $1 a day is by making responses. Discussions help too, but only 5 a day would be enough to help your earnings. From my personal experience, I have earned more than $1 by only starting 4-5 discussions and making 30 responses. The other option would be to shoot for 50 posts and you'll be good for that day. In my opinion, photos don't help you that much. I remember starting five new discussions followed by a picture for each, and only received 1 cent, yes, 1 cent for that day.
So, it's all in the posts!

Totally agree with you post, h_gaurd9. I've found this to be true too. When I first joined, I posted day and night to reach my first 100 in under a day. And, I didn't get more then a dollar. After two days of non-stop posting, I knew something had to change.
So, I stopped posting so much, and started opening my own discussions. It made a real difference. You'll start making money when people start responding to your discussions, so try to pick topics that will have people talking.
Now, I reply to 30-50 posts daily (other people's discussions). I post 5 or so of my own discussions.
And, yes I do upload photos with ever discussion started, when I can remember.
And, one more thing. Don't forget to keep the conversations going on discussions that you start. Reply to several responses when you get a minute. Don't be too negative or noone will bother posting a reply on your discussions. Noone wants to set themselves up to get slammed.
One of my best secrets to earning money on My Lot, is to make sure that your post or discussion doesn't get deleted.
Please use the two links that the other person provided and read the rules.
I just checked them out myself, and it's a real eye opener.
For instance, did you know that you're not supposed to start discussions over milestones, i.e. birthdays, anniverseries, My Lot milestones, etc. You've seen the posts where people say, "I've just hit 1000 posts!" or, "I got a star!"
Supposedly those discussions get deleted. So, if you've replied to that discussion, your answer will get deleted too. And, I'm assuming the money you earned for doing so, will get deleted, too!
Now, that's a real time waster.
Test things out to see what works and what doesn't.
One day you might try lots of replies and start no discussions. The next day, just start conversations, and respond to keep them going, but don't respond to other's discussions. This is what I did, initially, and I was able to guage more accurately where the money was.
See how that works out for you.

I can earn between $4-5 with a bit extra effort or most times it's below.
Although right now I earn between 2 and 3 dollars.
The simple quick guide allowed me to always earn over a dollar it's very easy to follow and you should earn over 1 dollar even as far up two dollars.
Depends on how loyal your friends are. (I being one) and how good you balance your profile. meaning if your more active the amount could increase or could sadly drop.

Actually I can't understand what they really pay for the disscussions we have started ,responce we to the someone's disscussions or the picture we sent but I know if we work hard, we do a lot responce , more disscussions and pictures we will earn more here in mylot. We must keep going.

Well if you do really want to earn more in mylot the you will have to learn to utilize its full features.
The best thing would be instead of starting several short discussions, it would be better to think about it and start a few discussion that have the potential to attract more responders.
Also the most of the time you should spend answering discussions and the more detailed your answers are, the more you earn.
Also it would be a good idea to upload pictures once you cross the 500 mark and though you usually get paid a cent for a picture you upload but if there are many comments on that then you can possibly earn more.
And let's not forget the most important thing here, make friends here that are willing to answer your discussion and vice versa, its called "support". The more friends you have that are willing to participate in your discussions the more you will earn and when you answer your friend's discussion, your friend may very likely respond to yours and not to mention the extra $ you will be making answering discussions.

The pay rate on Mylot went down a little while back. They changed the site and added lots of new things, and the payrate seemed to jump up. I managed to earn $4.90 a day for 2 days running by doing close to 100 responses. I did not start discussions, I did not post pictures, and I do not have any active referrals.
Now however, I find that I'm struggling to make a dollar. So, my advice to you is, just post as much as you can in the way of responses and start discussions too. Make sure they're of good quality and not just one liners, because they don't earn.
Your earnings here will never be consistent, and there's no way of being able to tell how much you'll make. The way in which Mylot admin figure out the payrate is the best kept secret on the internet. I say don't worry about the money, and just concentrate on having a good time.

I'm also sailing in the same ship. And I often wonder how people used to make so much of money out here since it will going to took me 2months for getting my first payout. But never the less I think good quality questions definetly attracts more users which makes our earnings higher. As the earnings will depend upon the fact that how many users had responded to a particular topic.Besides this uploading as many photos surely proves handy.
