I recently read in the paper the list of top ten excutives and what their pay scale is including the stock options and perks. I understand they have enormous value to companies but really is one person worth all of that? When I think of an organization that has different pay scales etc. I wonder how often they think of the smallest person in the organization. The factory worker etc. are the ones that really carry a company. If these people weren't willing to do manual labor the company would fold. Do you think one person deserved the greates amount in wages, dividends and stock options?

You read about the "Top 10". Think about that. Out of the millions of CEOs in the world... these are the 10 that made it to the top of their game. Out of the millions of executives of international corporations, these are the 10 that worked up to where they are now. No, they don't always deserve what they make because of what they did while they were CEO... but no one makes it to the top of any profession without working harder, longer and better than those who didn't make it. You say that the factory workers are the ones that "really carry a company". Male Bovine Excrement! Yes, they are important because the product wouldn't be produced if they didn't do their job. However, if buyers didn't do their jobs, there wouldn't be any parts for the line to assemble. If sales and marketing didn't do their job, the finished product wouldn't be sold. If the warehouse didn't do their job, neither the parts nor the finished product would get anywhere. Yes, I think some people deserve greater pay than others. Not because the person is any more or less important, but because there are millions of people available to do the work on the line... but only a handful willing and able to do what it takes to move up... especially to move up to where they are 1 of only 10 who made it.

What would be "enough" of an income for which to do your job?
