my 17 month old wont stop....

breastfeeding!! i have been trying to let him wean at his pace but if i keep that up, he will be nursing on his wedding night!! i just told him before he went to bed tonight that we are going to stop breastfeeding soon and he looked at me and said uh uh and started to whine. it was so cute!!! he is so sweet that it breaks my heart that he doesnt want to stop but it is time.
i need to get a mercury filling replaced so it isnt advisable to do it while breastfeeding. i need to have it done soon, like within a month or two at the most. we only nurse at night now but i just dont know how to persuade him more to stop. he lives for the boob...lol.
any suggestions????

I was just going to start this discussion about my son. funny, because I feel the same way that its going to be hard to wean my son. He is only 9 mths old but I have been trying not to feed him so much during the day to get him use to me being at work...boo hoo. Night time one I was going to do for a bit after like you...but I see you still have a hard time with it. hmmmmmm. Good luck with you son.
