You know all buddies, I almost got a heart attack, LOL:-)...why? because just yesterday when I put my PC back inside my room, I never did thought that there is such a big lizard in some areas inside my room and it crawled over the wall where i'm going to placed my PC. I was freaking out then while shouted at the same time looking at it crawling after where I was and my PC which i'm holding on almost fell on the ground, good thing my baby brother rescued me and he opened the door for me to let me out from my room. Oh boy, that was such a bad experience for me...maybe I was being reminded about somethings which I never get to realized what it is.
From that moment then, I was kind of shock from what had happened and my heart was really beating so fast and I can't hardly breathe because of fear...I'm just really scared about what happen, but now i'm a little bit okay and i'm now being careful and alert always not to encounter again such a big lizard...always checking now my room for it:-)
How about you guys, do you have any fear of something...may it be in nature, animals, or events etc.?
Please feel free to share your thoughts and opinions here. Thank you all for reading.

I don't particularly like heights, not high buildings, but on ladders or on the roof of a house. And one day we went for a walk on a narrow path along the side of a ravine. There were trees below us looking very small. I was more afraid for my wife putting a foot wrong and falling than myself. If I had been on my own, I would have been wary of it, but OK.
My wife had a fear of spiders, and I helped her overcome this by helping her to face her fears at her own speed. First she had to agree to deal with the situation, and then it was much easier. Before she couldn't stay in the same room as a spider, but now she can. She has even put one or two outside, because we don't like killing things.
If the lizard is harmless, you could do the same thing. Not pushing yourself, but staying in its presence and just watching it. After a while, accepting its presence will become much easier. Some people keep lizards as pets. :-)

That is a good thing about your wife how she overcome her fears of spiders. It's not really easy to overcome things that you are afraid of, it takes sometime for one to really make it and overcome them in time.
As for me, now that i've experienced to face those big lizard...now, when I see one around the house I don't freak out no more like I was the first time I saw it, i'm very scared at it and can't barely move where I was then, now thank goodness I just did and in the process still overcoming my fear with the said lizard. Thanks for sharing.

hehe! well i love lizards! but there are some creepy crawlers that get to me. I'm not one of those girly-girls that hate all insects, but there are three that make me freak! Wasps, Earwigs, and cockroaches! UGH! so gross. Whenever I see any of them I flip lol.
One time I was watching a movie with my sister, and a ton of earwigs (i counted 6 before I left) got in the house through our screen door. I just had to leave, I left before the movie ended and locked myself in my room. Sayig how gross it was the whole time! lol

The only big lizard i would run from is godzilla =P hehe. Except, if a lizard was actually chasing me (like those bearded lizards that chase things) I would run and scream my head off lol.
I think I'm scared of smaller things like bugs because they are harder to keep track of. They could be somewhere on you and you wouldn't know it. *ew-shiver* lol

LOL, :-)...yes, at times I encountered such small insects that I never knew they crawled around me somewhere and even they get inside my ears when I get to sleep at night, specially ants or some bugs or so :-)...good thing I get to washed them out with water and start cleaning my ears just to make sure that I won't get deaf in a long run, LOL :-)

Hello gberlin, thanks for responding. Yes, you are right speaking of roller coaster rides, oh it makes me throw up when I was riding once during my childhood days. And like you, I also have fears in any heights I see somewhere makes my heart beats fast, LOL :-)

I think that my biggest fear is of bugs, not all bugs. Just the ones that sneak up on you, for instance like a cockroach or a spider. I think that they're cool to look at when they're in a jar or a cage, but if they just happen to crawl over your foot its scary.

SNAKES !!! I can't stand the sight of them. ( ehehehehhee) I am just so afraid of these creatures that I never ever really have that chance in my life to touch or feel them. ( there are friendly creatures in the zoo right?. still, i don't touch them!) I duno, maybe because of their color or their size or their kind that makes me afraid whenever I see them. It's my greatest fear honestly. I just can't explain why or how it all started. ;)

I fear siamese cats. I never thought that I would be afraid of a cat but about 2 years ago I was working as a housekeeper and there were 3 Siamese cats in the house that I was cleaning. I didn't do anything to them, I just said "Hi kitties" from half way across the room and they started meowing in harmony(siamese cats don't meoing like a normal cat it sounds like somethine from a horror movie), they jumped down from the chair they were lying in and approached and circled me, then one bit right through my pants and into the back of my leg. I scremed for thier owner and it let go, but now if I even see a cat that slightly resembles being Siamese I am immdetiatly afraid and feel like it wants to kill me.

Hello hazynite and Nykkee, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I haven't heard a Siamese cat just yet, but as you both describe it's meowing that seemingly sounds like in a horror movie, LOL...I wouldn't think that I'd love having them around coz I myself is also even scared of something that sounds like i'm in a horror place somewhere :-)
Thanks for sharing both of you. :-)

Oh I have a cat. Hey is small and fluffy, I got him at a shelter but I think he's an angora because his fur is soooo soft anf he looks just like pictures of purebred angora cats. I am not afraid of all cats, just siamese cats, the ones with the wierd narrow heads, that's the kind that bit me, and any cat that meows like that.

i am not scared of them. i just don't like touching them. but i am not terrified by lizards. i even watched crocodiles up close and personal in a park and took a pic right next to a huge phyton. hehe.
anyway, what i fear of is heights. i think it's too scary. but if ever i will join amazing race and will be asked to bumjee jump or rapel, i will still do it even if i am scared of it. i wanna conquer my fear one day.

Thanks for sharing maryannemax, yeah it was really funny of me almost jumped out from my window during the time, LOL :-)
Yes, it's good to conquer our fears someday so that way we could be always free from them, from being scared or afraid of something unusual to us or some weirdy things we encountered.
Thanks for sharing.

I am sorry to know the bad encounter you happen to have. Was the lizard so big that you were so much afraid? How big was it? 8 inches long?
Anyway, if you come across any creatuture unexpectedly, you may lose your sense.
I am very particular that I do not leave my doors and windows open unless the door/ window has a mosquito mesh made out of stainless steel or, some one is present at the scene when a door/ window that does not have a mosquito net is kept open.
I hope this helps.
Incidentally, did you buy a chocolate or something as a reward for your baby brother?

Thanks Norstar for sharing. It's okay, i'm a bit fine now and thank God for that :-)
Well, you are right the lizard was really huge and I guess it's more than just 8 inches as I get to think, :-)..
I always keep my room closed even before and after I came out, maybe then the lizard just crawled somewhere through the windows coz it's only one of my windows is open during those time I remember.
About my brother, my only reward for him is to just let him use my PC even inside my room...I don't let it bother me anymore for as long as he will handle it with care and I believe he will, because I have trust in him, he's a graduate of Information Technology and it's about computer programs. So, I believe he know what he's doing and he's not going to let some virus get on my PC itself. :-)

I have a fear of having my daughters abused physically or getting raped that I gave my 5-year old daughter a cellphone so that I could always track her whereabouts even in school. I also have a fear of something blowing up or catching fire that sometimes I get up in the middle of the night worrying about it. I have a fear of flying too but I think it stems from my once very traumatic experience wherein the airplane that I was taking on the way to Cebu almost crashed.

Yes, those are indeed a very scary things even just to think about them. We just really need to calm our minds down and just be very careful with things around us everywhere, whatever they may be...extra careful should always be a must in everything we do. Thanks for sharing.

Right now, my biggest fear is losing my job because I was lucky to get a pretty good paying job and may lose it. If I lose it I don't know how I am going to be able to keep my house and my cars. I was stupid enough to get way in over my head.
