I love watching Miss Universe! Watching them interest me of diff. races and beauty of women all over the world. Whew, just heard the news recently. I never thought it would be Japan who will win the crown. Riyo Mori, 20 years old and a dancer. I think everyone loves her bec. she is not a typical japanese. Her beauty is just different and she indeed every gorgeous and alluring. Out of 77 contestants from 77 countries around the world, truly indeed she stand out! Although my bet was the Philippines, my country but still she got herself awarded as Miss Photogenic, not bad at all. Well I have many bets actually there's Brazil, Puerto Rico and even USA, and I think their beauty is more on exotic and dark type. (comparing before) So who are you're bet at that time? Do watch this kind of pageant at all?

My bet was of course, Miss Philippines who graduated summa c u m laude in University of the Philippines. I'm glad she won the Miss Photogenic title but felt bad that she didn't make it as one of the finalists. Congratulations, though, to Miss Japan who endeared herself to the Mexican crowd when she greeted them in Spanish! Thanks my friend (Gracias mi amiga)!

Honestly, in my opinion, the time for these sexist pageants has come and gone. Not many people that I know even watch them anymore. These women are herded together like cattle, and I just don't understand why they don't feel demoralized by it all. There are many beautiful women in this world. There are also many smart women in this world. I just feel that it is wrong to rely on ones looks to advance them to where they want to go.

I think by showing beauty, grace and sharing culture doenst make a person demoralized it all. This beauty aims to give beauty, hoy, grace to all women in different culture and races. Its every exciting and interesting to know the different kind of beauty they have, i mean the essence of beauty of being a woman. We dont have to rely their beauty of course, but rather their personality, character and attitude. Miss Universe is a form of uniting the nation together by expressing the culture of its their country.

My mother bet is really Miss Korea and Ms. Japan. I have not watched it but I prefer Ms, Philippines that time. But it seems that two asians have coveted the title. Anyway I do like Koreans and JApanese as well so I don't mind them getting the title.

Of all the beauty pageants Miss Universe is my favorite to watch and I was glad that ABS CBN showed a live telecast. I was expecting for Ms. Philippines to win of course, but just like in any other contests not everybody could win. I like Ms. Japan too, she's beautiful and she moves gracefully. I just think that during the question and answer part she was not as smart and intellectual compared to the other finalists, but as a whole she's deserving of the title. My other bets are Ms. Korea and Ms. USA.
