Have you ever appeared in a newspaper issue?

Yes, quite a few years ago, while I was managing a small supermarket, there was an article done about the effects of larger supermarkets in nearby city centres on shopping locally in small communities. I was asked for my opinion, and although I joked with the journalist about not putting my photo in the paper, she did so anyway!

I did actually about 19 years ago. I was awarded a scholarship education by the Alumni Association of one of the exclusive Catholic Girls High School here in my country and it was published in our City's No. 1 newspaper. The school also had it posted in the bulletin boards for about 2 months. The scholarship that I won granted be free tuition fee in an exclusive private girls school for 4 years together with free books and some school allowances.

Once, when I was 20 years of age, & at Teachers College, the state newspaper interviwweed me about their being a lack of teacher jobs available for graduates. That's my only claim to fame!

When I was a little kid, my dad knew a reporter. They wanted a picture of a couple of kids for Halloween & they came over & took a picture of my brother & me looking in a plastic pumpkin. I had a conincal "witches" hat on out of cardboard, what do you expect for the late 1950's? We were cute, typical American kids.

I've been in the newspaper one time that I can remember, which was during my freshman year in high school. I was one of four people from Tracy who got into the Northern California Regional Honor Choir. That's all I can think of right now as far as print media. I've been on TV at least thirty times in my life, all for singing.

When I was younger the town I grew up by always had a street fair each year. The local newspaper interviewed me about some of the activities there were for the children to do. It really wasn't something that was that important but as a young child I was excited to see my picture in the paper.

yes i appair of newpaper 5 or 6 time. i was a president of a no profit associati0on, i'll go in tv.....well i'm a little littlr famouse in my little city............. bye

nope i was not too..but my daughter was when she was able to pass the licensure exam..her name was published on the newspaper together with the the others too..

we were once on a local newspaper here in the philippines. my husband and i went to visit one of our principal sponsors for our wedding. he is the mayor of the place. he saw him on a hotel where he was having a press conference so after his meeting we approached him and gave him our gift. then one photographer ask us to have his picture with him. all the while, we thought that it was just a picture for souvenir but when we checked the newspaper the next day, we saw our faces in it:)

I have been featured in a newspaper several times. When I graduated from highschool I was intervjuved about the norwegian exam. I think that is the only time I was in the paper all by myself. My picture has been in the paper several times: when my choir toured in Denmark, or every year when we sang at the Santa Lucia celebrations, when I won a dance award, pictures of my high school band, first day at school etc etc etc. I also made the paper when I was an exchangestuden in the US. I made the honoroll every time possible, and the paper listed all of us that did. They also wrote about me several times when I was about to or just held a speech about Norway. No newspapers has shown any interest in me after I started my adult life - oh, a lie! I was in the paper when a client set my work place on fire.

Yes i was mentioned in the past a few times, do that what i did as my profession. I did not see it as somthing special, but i will love to be mentioned on the newspaper when i will do somthing that i really want to and will be successful on it.

Well not so much me , my friend, but my 13 year old is never out of our local paper! He is very involved in the school eco club, reading clubs , gets picked to meet vips visiting his school etc! He has also appeared in our council magazine on a centre page photo about education! xxx

I have been in the newspaper about 2 times. One was when I attended a high profile dinner function and the other one was when I got married. Nothing much to shout about but it felt good to see ourself in the news.

I am not that lucky to appear in a nespaper or other print media.but I just do not want to appear,because I know becoming a public issue is not a good thing.

I had my picture in a newspaper before but that was a long time ago. I belonged to a group called the Explorers. they are like the boy/girl scouts and we had a dinner to raise money. So the newspaper printed our story and a picture of us. I still have the picture and that was from about 27 years ago.

Since we have had some hardship in our life. My hubby and kids were in the paper picture and all when they went to a free soup and supper one night while I worked. We have had 2 articles in the paper with our housefires that have happened. So for being noticed that way, I would rather not. Call it unfortunate occurances caused our fame!

November 14th is the childrens day here. On one childrens day I was painting laurel and hardy's picture along with other chldren. Nearly there were 1000 childrens. The next day my picture appeared on the first page of the reputed news paper.

I was in the paper in seventh grade but not for doing anything big . I played in a play they were having at our school and we were all put in the paper because of this . Not sure why it was consiered a big deal but it was something that was put on by our school and the local newspaper came out to photograph all of us in the play . Although it wasn't for anything all that great , I still have the clipping of it today and I also have a clipping of my son who was in the paper a couple of years ago when he made a buggy and the Beavers got together and raced all their buggies that they made themselves and he won second place .

I have been in the newspaper several times for various things, mostly for accomplishments related to school athletic events. I have also in the last five years had several pieces of poetry published in anthologies. Nothing earthshaking or anything just little things.

Hi ranjeet, yes I have, but it was when I was a child. They had a campaign on to purchase war bonds. My picture was put in the paper because I sold eggs from our hens to purchase war bonds. They made a big deal out of it and I was really proud of myself.
