It is good manners if you give tip to the waiters or waitresses. I usually give tip about 15%- 20%,that depends on the quality of food & their service.

Everytime I eat in a reastuarant if it a fine dining, what coin they give as change is what I usually give as tip by leaving the change at the tray but some restaurants really requires a tip so I usually give $5 as tip if I like the attendant but if it is not my type I only give $2 as tip...but that rarely happens...i do not go out that often.

I suppose it is the right thing to do especially if the service is very good. Sometimes though I don't give tips anymore if there is a service charge indicated on the bill. In other countries it is a must to give a tip. You really have to give a tip. Otherwise you'll get into trouble.

The service given from a restaurant can make the whole dining experience better or worse. So I think as a token of appreciation, we should pay the tip in teh restarant. We always does that.

If the service is good. Actually it is just a reward or compensation for good service. So if the service is good I leave a tip but if I can't spare the cash I apologize/just complement the attendant. :)
