We normally visit foreign countries during our holidays, but we just forget some important tips to be safe. There are many things which we forget. 1) Find out the addresses and phone numbers of our countries embassy or consulate. If something bad happens, then you can contact them 2) Be polite and have good maners. This is very much important no matter what country you are in because if you are polite, the locals will also be. 3) Make sure not to draw attention to yourself. Dress simply and do not wear flashy jewellery. 4) If you are planning to stay at a particular area, keep altering your routine. 5) Your wallents/purses attract attention. Keep you money is safe places like money belt under clother on an ankle belt that is worn under the socks.

You have some very precious tips there, Gloria. Thank you for sharing them; we never know when we're going to run into problems in a foreign country, and we read so many bad stories. I have made a note of those points you have suggested, for future reference. :-) Happy Holidays!
