Why girls hung up on commitment in a relationship?

Why do girls keep nagging about mariage and commitment. Whats the big deal with commitment anyway? I think women are neurotic & commitment-phobic, thats the problem. Men are chilled out and take things as they come and know how to enjoy themselves. What do you think?? Like to have respone from female members especially..

I guess its because women want stability in their lives and the promise that they're not on a on way track to heart break.
Women want a sparkly diamond promise that their relationship with the man of their dreams is going somewhere and not just a causal fling...When a man pops the question that signals that he's serious about the relationship and wants her in his life and not just a willing (you know) in his bed...
