I've come across an article that talks about what happened when they replied to one of those ubiquitous nigerian scams. It's friggin' hilarious - so I thought I'd share. It's called "The Spam report." :) http://www.silicon.com/research/specialreports/thespamreport/0,39025001,10002928,00.htm?r=1

Those scammers are really something else? How stupid do they think we are??? Unfortunately there are people that have been foolish enough to fall for it. Things like that just encourage the scammers. It's sad. Glad to see someone making fun of those guys. That was pretty funny! Probably left the other guy feeling frustrated and like he'd wasted his time. Good! He doesn't need to scam anybody else. I'd like to see a permanent end to scams like this!

That was funny. I had another story similar to that a while ago but it wasn't nearly as funny. Anyway, these people are only allowed to get away these scams b/c some ppl are greedy and others are just desperate. It's a shame though that these scams are still alive in well, I mean after all this time you would think people would be wiser.

I nearly laughed myself silly. How desperate are these people. Evidently very desperate for the chance to clean out that persons bank account. But it just amazes me, that some people actually do fall for that. I always like to stick to the motto, "If it's too good to be true, then it is!"

I've seen this before. I must admit the guy who was responding to the Scammer was quite funny and great at winding the spammer up. good for him!

I just read the article. It's so long! It's amazing how these people are tenacious. I feel bad about the innocent people who fell in the trap. I receive these kind of scam emails. Lately all the emails I receive are about lottery in the UK. Funny, I live in the US and I never played the UK lotto and now I am winning! I have to be very naive to fall in this kind of trap.
