Skinny vs. Full Figured? Which would you go for??

Tyra Banks and Jaslene Gonzalez - Tyra looks better with her new 'additional' curves!!

With the tabloids calling Tyra Banks fat, it's no wonder why normal women are tortured by body angst. How many times have you said to yourself, "OMG, I look so fat!", when you in reality, you could almost be called Nicole Richie's double. The media has turned the issue of weight into such a frenzy that it's totally gotten out of hand. Women don't even know what to expect of themselves anymore. We're confused! When we're skinny, we're ugly.. But when we're fat, were ugly too?? I'm glad I'm not too caught up in this hype! I'm totally comfortable with the way I look. Of course there are some those love handles that I'd like to get rid of, but I sure don't wanna look like a skeleton. And as for me, I like full figured women!! More cushion for the pushin'!! What about you??

I prefer full figured women. Thin women are so fragile and less exciting. Women should not care about what media has to say about being beautiful and sexy. Just focus on your strengths and find your inner beauty. Cheers!

yes, this is what most people want to be really. being skinny is not that desirable at all. in fact, people tend to tease skinny people a lot. like something which points to having not enough to eat. i used to suffer from this teasers before.

Yeah, I remember how people used to tease my cousin for being very skinny~! I also agree that women should not be too skinny~! Like Keira Knightly. I think that's just too much. Skinny ladies can't even pull off looking great in a dress as opposed to voluptuous and full women.

i'd rather be skinny. not because it is the fad, but because i remember most comfortable with life that way. i used to be really thin, all the members of the family used to tease me about the dime being fatter than me, that i have to eat so much more,etc.,etc., etc. now that i have become fat, i am never at ease about being heavy. my legs cannot support me for so long standing and walking. i get tired easily doing things. i believe that this is because, my bone structure has been used to carry only 50 to 52 kilograms of me and now i am anywhere between 68 to 70 kilograms. i feel terrible and i am trying to lose weight for more than a year now.

hi there! :) you know what, i think i saw a tabloid having headlines of tyra banks being fat, and there were even pictures which were showing "then" and "now". and in that picture, i really couldnt believe my eyes! tyra banks really got fat in that picture and she really had thunder thighs! :P as for me, im pretty much on the thin side. i weigh about 43-45 lbs or kilos, im not sure about the unit. im actually 4lbs underweight, but its not that i want to be underweight. i guess i just have fast metabolism. i love to eat, but i just dont get fat. lolz. :)

Hey~! Yeah, she did gain a lot of weight. But I think all those years of modeling and trying to be the ideal weight for the industry has finally paid off. And now she doesn't need to be all skinny since she's not gonna run for Victoria Secret anymore.. =P I think the media should give her a break.. I think what you're tryna say is that you're 43 kgs. I used to be that weight but I gained a bit more because everyone was saying I was too skinny. I love too eat too, and now I'm finding hard to keep my ideal weight of 45kg! =P

Hi, Too much skinny is not liked, a full figure is most appreciated and hope that the person is healthy too from the appearance. Anyhow it is the overall beauty that projects some are look good while skinny and while others are in full figured. Any how I do like both if it fits them. Still I do hope skinny people are much healthier are the full figured. I do had seen those in profession of modeling is mostly skinny. Still it is likeness of the body structure by the those who appreciate it.

I always wanted a firm body. especially now that I am a mom. I don't want to get fat and out of proportion. I just wanted a figure that is worth for my body structure. Enough to stay healthy and looks good.

All of us must understand that we are unique. And we have unique constitution of the body and not to make so big drama if we fit or not to some imposed standart. I can tell that my constitution is rounded. But i dont feel unhappy because of it.

I wrote something very similar a while ago hun. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/933973.aspx Media pressure does nothing to diminish the problem unfortunately, it exascerbates it to a degreee where most women simply don't know right from wrong anymore. Too fat, too skinny, both equal ugly these days

I prefer in-between. Not skinny, but nice and toned. That is the way I want to be, turn my fat into muscle! I think your body type doesn´t really matter as long as you are in good shape. For some women, that means being a size 12, for others, size 2. It all depends on your underlying body type.

I used to be super thin, just about as thin as a lot of models, but a few months after I had my son, I gained like 40 lbs. Now I'm freaking HOT!!! Lol, my bf told me if I ever lose more than 5 lbs, he's going to cry and stuff my with cake. I'm healthy and I have a huge appetite (since birth, lol), but with a little boy, I'm always running around trying to keep him from killing himself. That combined with my job and constant walking gives me pretty nice glutes and arms. I like post-baby me better than pre-baby, I think. Blessed Be

I prefer being HEALTHY! Just because someone is 115 pounds does not mean they are healthy. I prefer someone who looks in the mirror and can say "damn I look good" and to heck with what anyone else says/thinks. So self-confidence and respect.

Men will say a woman is ugly when she's thin and do not have much of boobs and hips, basically if she's like 2-dimensional. Men will say a woman is ugly when she's fat and you cant make out the hourglass anymore, though she might have boobs. So end of the day, men are just looking for a proportionate figure, shaped like a coke bottle as the song goes. In the olden days, fat women used to be considered beauties and skinnies were deemed ugly. Nowadays its generally the reversed, but point to note, the general waist to hip ratio being reverred is still 0.7, so end of the day, the proportion is what people are looking for. Just my 2cents worthed, i'm not a MCP! Just sharing.. :)

i prefer to be skinny although having some flesh wouldnt hurt. as long as its like the body of carly smithson (from american idol season 7) coz she's not exactly thin, but not fat either.

I like full figured women, with curves. I don't like at all ugly skelettons, and I am afraid of anorexic women, I feel very sad for them and I think their idea is very weird and a great misconception. I love to see women like you who are happy being natural and curvy :)

Aww.. thank you missak! Good to know that. Hopefully most ladies will begin to realize that it's not attractive at all to be all boney.. I think we should go back to the good old days when all the pinup girls were all voluptuous, like Marilyn Monroe!

As you can probably tell from my name on here, I'm a guy lol. I think the weight has a lot to do with your bone structure, or frame or whatever. I have a small frame and last time I weighed myself like the end of last year, I was 119 lbs. I'm suppose to be 135 at least at my height. But, the fat goes to all the wrong places, (my stomach and my rear. I used to have a perfect bubble butt lmao!) so I need to work out more and try to find a way of getting my weight put into the right places. I don't like seeing belly rolls, especially with my weight.

Hello there mean_queen. I would prefer my girlfriend to be not to be too skinny and not that fat. But if she's a bit plump or overweight, but as long as I like her, I don't really mind because she can always go exercising with me, ha! I think women in general are too concerned by the way they look and my best advice to those is just to go with the flow and not caring so much about the way they present themselves to others in terms of size. As long as there is an effort to keep fit and also eating right, I think the weight issue shouldn't be a problem. There are skinny ladies that err on bad eating habits and I would prefer someone plump but with a good, healthy lifestyle anytime and any day. If I were to have a girlfriend like you, I wouldn't mind her not losing the love-handles though. . Have a nice day there. :)-

i would rather a thick woman i figured because a skinny woman i would brake and to me a thick woman is more juicy and a skinny woman is kinda dry but thats just what i think and i would choose a thick girl because thats just more loven baby lol
