Tonight on 30th May 2007, the whole world will monitor Blue Moon. This glance can be seen from all places, countries of the world. This happens for 7 times in every 19 years. Tonight the moon will seem a little larger in size with its light reflection showing a little shade of blue and will be felt that the light of moon is more clear. It will also give good affects for crops in the field. The most beautiful sight will be seen when this blue shaded moonlight will fall on Taj mahal (Wonder of the World) in Agra, India as many tourists have gone there to see this historic event with their own eyes. Taj Mahal is all made up of pure white fine marble and when blue shaded moonlight will fall on it. It"ll be so awesome and beautiful scene. What are your views? Do let me know how is moon light in your region of the world. Please mention your area of world also.

I haven't heard of this. I'm in the southern part of the United States. It sounds awesome and I agree that it would be very beautiful to observe. I will go out and see if I can see the moon tonight regardless. However, with all the rain in the forcast here this week, we may be too overcast to even see the moon. This would be my luck!! I hope you enjoy your view! You will have to log in tomorrow and let us all know how it looked!

I am from Pakistan and I am almost 11 or hours ahead of people in USA in time. I have observed the moon tonight. It sure is a little more brighter with a very weak fabble shade of blue. See in your region when night falls. You"ll enjoy it.

We have a lot of rain in the forcast and it is getting cloudier by the hour. I'm not going to count on this clearing up. I'm glad you are having a decent view!

Moonlight - I didn't take this photo myself, but it is lovely!
I shall look out for this! I've heard of the "blue moon" phenomenon, but have never to the best of my knowledge, knowingly seen one. This is of course the origin of the saying "once in a blue moon" meaning very rarely indeed! Moonlight is very pretty, and if it's not too cloudy here, it should make our garden (Manchester, UK) even lovelier than ever!

I was under the impression that a Blue Moon occurred when a full moon appears twice in a calndar month - the second full moon is called the Blue Moon. Thsi only happens once or twice a year, hence the term, Once in a blue moon. I haven't heard about this other phenomena. I will look it up. Thanks :)

This is very interesting. Are you sur it is going to be seen the whole world over? I live in Adelaide, south Australia. As I am in the southern hemisphere, I may not see the same as you.I can imagine that certain wonders in India will be highlighted by this spectacular event. I am goiung to pass your link of this discussion onto a friend, who is also interested in the Moon.

Well here in Scotland I doubt that we will see the moon. It has been raining here for two weeks. I'm starting to feel like a duck. Better luck next time!
