I have always loved the moon. Especially when it's so clearly visible during the bright daytime hours. This was taken about 2 p.m. Monday. I love the contrast against the clear deep blue sky also. It's about 7/8ths full at this time. If you have any favorite moon shots please feel free to share them here. Thanks all. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Your photo of the mooon turned out very well. I don't have a lot of luck with moon photos. A few months back, we have a wonderful, huge, full orange moon, at night. It was magnificant. My daughter, step son & I walked quite a distance trying to get a good photo of it. It only turned out as a spec in the distance. I rated your photo & wrote a comment.

Full moon - I nice looking full moon.
I prefer a full moon bright in a deep black night. It makes possible to see all the moon contrast. And depending on the time of the year, you can get the moon with different colors too. This one is kind orange.

The moon is ok, but I like looking beyond. I love astronomy, the stars and planets. Venus is very bright in the western sky after sunset. It would be incredible to shut off all the lights in the world for a few hours and just gaze up into the night time sky. People would be amazed at what they would see. There is too much light polution nowadays. Before too long, all you will be able to see is the moon...lol I will check out your pic.

I go up nortyh to the farm and it's beautiful. No city lights what so ever. Millions of stars to gaze at. Did you get a chance to see Venus when it was just to the SouthEast of the setting moon last week? It was so bright looking also. I love seeing the Northern Lights also here in Minnesota. I drive about 30 miles away from the city to get a great view. I'll have to take some photos this winter of them. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi Grandpa! What the Moon is called here in indopak sub-continent "chendda or chand" and there were mythical stories about the moon .... even in this age of modernization most of the mothers used to term the moon as uncle "Chanda Mamoon" hehehe and mothers tell the stories about moon to the children. Have you ever learnt about these before Grandpa? I don't think so ;) This is interesting topic, I would also like to raise here hmmm may be! ;) Well, I have no doubt about your aesthetic sense and this is one of the same re-affirmation of my previous tribute to you! :) Since you are fond of taking the pictures and get most of your camera, isn't it? hahaha. Thanks for your shring. Best Regards,

it really feels great to see the moon at daytime. this happens only very few times where i am. yet, i have enjoyed immensely when i saw it once sporting a full moon. i thought that it was kind quite of weird seeing the moon in the daytime. congratulations for having taken a good picture of the moon at the time when you saw it.

I've always loved the daytime moon, when visible too. Actually I love looking at the moon, no matter what phase it's in. When I was a kid, I used to think that the moon was following me, while we were driving (haha). Thanks for another great photo!:)

It is unusual to see the moon during the day for the most part so when it happens and we notice it, it is certainly special isn't it? That was a great shot too!
