I kind of know the person who runs the church run thrift shop there and I see her put stuff outside the shop as well. Is it a good idea and how much do you think they'll charge me if they let me do it?

I guess it depend son what you intend to sell from that space outside the trift shop. Because if you sell outside a thrift store, your merchandise will probably get the same kind of customers as the thrift shop. So if you want to attract better customers with more buying power, then you should search for another space.

Yea, you're probably right. I should look for another place, because I'm not selling used things, I want to sell anime.

it is not a good idea to do it. but you can find it rampant here in india, people lending out spaces in front of their shops. it causes so much inconvenience to the public walking on the footpaths as these small time hawkers occupy half of the footpath.
