the way Ricky Ponting is playing nowadays,it looks like he is on his way to break sachin's record atleast in the test matches. He has already reached 33 centuries and he is scoring them very frequently,he is in the peak of his form.so what do u think..

By scoring 2 centuries in bangla tour sachin has made 37 centuries, world record and is 4 ahead of ponting who is on 33. I feel sachin if he remains injury free and is in good form scoring centuries then it will be difficult for ponting to catch up though i wouldn't bet against it as ponting is in peak form. Moreover it will also depend on how tests both play from now on and when they retire. India toru's of england may provide some clues . let's wait and watch. But i just sachin hangs on to this record and i feel he will.

The was Ricky Ponting played in the World Cup and the series before that sure says he"ll one day break the record of Sachin Tendulkar in tests and make his own record as he is on his full form. Ricky Ponting's record will be broken by Muhammad Yusuf as he was the highest scorer in test matches last year. Muhammad Yusuf also broke this highest scoring record in tests after 30+ years.

i will agree one thing with you that ponting is also a great batsmen. bbut he will not reach sachins record for ever.sachin is not a silly batsmen and his score is also not a silly score he may score frequently but he will not get it for ever.here i want to say one thing that in the young age of sachin if you saw him i think this idea will not come in your mind. every batsmen will lost his form in one time ponting will also.sachins score is not a silly score to ask this question. of course he is doing frequently but sachin is not a sillybatsmen to see that.his score is his lie time win. he will not allow that to be in the second or in the third position sachin had several years to play in the team and he is in the form also if ponting will come i n his way sachin will go in his way sachin knows hoe to do things .. so dont ask thgis type of questions.

hi my friend. Its not going to be easy for any batsman to beat sachin. As sachin is not at his best for quite a while others seem to surpass him .but no batsman can score consistently ,there will be tough times for evry one.I feel sachin will soon pick up his form n if he does it ,it is impossible for anyone to beat him

well the way ponting is playing and after the number of runs he made till now i think he can break the record. he has a good conversion rate and he plays most of the time and so i think he will and i would be very happy if he can do that cause he is a very goodf player afterall. he is a good captian and also a very aggressice batsman. he dominates the bowling when he plays and that is the main thing about him, once he settles down he murders the bowling attack and that makes life easy for the whole team

well...its not easy as both are still playing you just cannot say...if Sahcin hits rich form and ponting gos through poor form for 1 year or so then things may dramatically change... ponting has'nt had any poor form of late so he's bound to have one. and Sachin is going through rough patch so hes due...also Sachin has scored all over the world in all conditions and piches and against all quality bowling attacks which ponting hasn't done....so only time can tell if he does in tests but in ODIs it next to impossible..

It depends upon how much time Ponting and Sachin will play. If sachin retires in a year and Ponting goes on to play about 3-4 more years then surely he will break the record. But you cant predict anything because cricket is a very funny game. Only time will tell
