If you were to recieve a large chunk of money for a lottery, or inheritance what would be the first thing you would do after contacting an accountant? I would give my children enough money to pay off their houses, cars and each grandchild would recieve enought for four years of college. Tell me your plan!

Very well planned, is what crossed my mind when I read the description of money distribution you have mentioned. But for me it would be more of a spending list. First of all I'll buy some new clothes for my mother and father and few fine accesories for my brother, than I'll like to have a bike and a new ipod and the new laptop among some other gadgets and than at the end I'll buy a green car as my mother has asked me for one.

I would pay off all of my debt, my families debt and all my close friends debt then throw one hell of a party and celebrate being debt free and winning money

The first would be to contact an accountant or attorney. I would not want to end up broke,I would pay off my house and buy new cars for my son and myself.set up college funds for the small ones ,and give each of my family members something to help them along. I would also like to set up a charitable fund for local churches and charites in need of funds.

Well, I will keep a good sum in a bank for safe keeping, it has to be in a medium wherein my family can live comfortably with the interest alone, it will pay our bills and everyday expenses. A portion of that money will go to a trust fund for my two children so that they'll have their own money when they grow up. I will give some to my family and my hubby's family for their retirement savings, they have been very loving and supportive , they deserve a token of appreciation from a lucky and rich person like me LOL:)I would put some in the business that I am in at the moment to jumpstart it. I will travel with my husband and kids , we have to go back to Europe to do some unfinished busieness, we'll buy cars and houses and properties. A sum will have to go to the less-fortunate especially the abused and malnourished children and old abandoned people , build churches as wel. Whew! looks like I really got a lot of money. Lastly, I have to get the ball rolling, after all it's only money, money spent is money lost . I have to make sure that money will be used to produce more money so that others may also benefit from it.

I would buy a house of my dreams and then I would pay off my in-laws home and I would split the rest of the money with my kids. I would make sure that both of them had a trust fund so that they would have money when they got older. My house would be 2 story and have a basement. It would have a large wrap around porch and 2 swings on the porch- one at each end!
