Will your family eat leftovers?

My husband will take a plate lunch of leftovers from the night before's supper. We might even eat the leftovers again another night for supper. I eat them them for my dinners. BUT my kids do not like leftovers. They are all grown now but when they were small I couldn't serve any leftovers. What about you and your family?

Yes, thank GOD, I don't know what I would have done with any type of picky eaters. From the time our kids were big enough to eat table food they HAD to eat one teaspoon of everything served. They could have more of whatever they wanted but they did have to eat that one bite. They are all grown up, with grown up kids of their own now, and they will eat anything.
Opps, leftovers---------hubby and I plan on eating leftovers, when we cook we make an extra amount for just that reason. Sometimes we freeze some, but usually we eat it within the next couple of days.

We do too. I will cook extra just so we can have the leftovers. It is so economical! Thanks for posting.

Why not? We put the leftovers into fridge and therefore it won't go bad. We probably add some new foods into it so that it'll taste better again. But the most important thing is we don't want to waste the foods. We will feel guilty to it. As there are still many people in the world who are still starving. We should be thankful what we have now.

I will eat left overs. For my children when they were growing up I guess it depended on what it was whether they would eat left overs or not.

I hate to waste food, so I either eat it all that day or have leftovers as long as they last. I don't care if it is 3 or 4 days old. There is so much food wasted in this country, we could feed 100 million people every day. It is a downright shame how much is wasted in this country. Unless it has been a week or its got mold on it, I will eat it. Sometimes I make enough for 3 or 4 days so I won't have to cook 3 or 4 times. It saves energy too. And I don't buy things I won't eat. That way, I know it is something I like and I will eventually eat it.

I hate to waste food too. I usually eat it before it ruins. I know there is so much waste in this world. Thanks for posting.

We eat some leftovers, that is I will make a macaroni casserole and freeze half because well there are two of us. If there are too many potatoes left over, I will make hash browns. What we do not do is to have pork and beans one day, and finish the rest off the next. Or have hamburgers and potatoes and green beans one day and since we cannot finish them all, we will have them again the next night. In the case of vegetables, I might have the same vegetables a couple of nights later, so it really depends. I cannot eat the same thing three nights in a row or even the next morning unless it is pizza.

I'm a big fan of leftovers. I like finding ways to reuse them and turning them into other things.
Of of my favorite things to make is calzones. I use premade pizza dough from the store and roll it out and fill it with leftover meat and veggies. Then I fold it over and put some garlic powder on the top. Bake at 350 until the dough is golden brown. My boyfriend LOVES calzones, so he is always excited for them. I try to cook a little extra just so I have leftovers. It makes things so much easier some nights to have them to fall back on.

Love leftovers because then I don't need to cook anything for dinner the next night, if it lasts until then. We had roast chicken last night and are having the leftovers tonight, chicken sandwiches (light dinner LOL).

My family eats leftovers all the time. They just don't realize it! I use the leftovers to make another meal with. It's usually completly different from the night before. If we have chili one night and have leftovers, the following night I just cook the chili down and use it for taco salads.
