Would it mean to be a rich king, or to be homeless on the streets? how do you think Jesus would live today?

Jesus was a carpenter before becoming a carpenter of men. I believe he'd live similar to he had - his riches were the people in his kingdom, not the materials we surround ourselves with.

So,would that mean he would be rich in spirit, and poor in material wealth? Where do you think he would live, and what would he do? Before he became the great teacher, he was indeed a carpenter, however he left it, to become the great teacher. So, do you think he would be the pope? a minister? a beggar? hmmmm....

Really good questions. I want to say the essence of Jesus was captured in Mother Teresa's work. I could easily believe Jesus would let someone else be pope and he would be found living and working to help the poorest of the poor. I could easily accept he'd be ministering to their physical needs while helping them with their spiritual needs as Mother Teresa and the sisters who aided her did.

I had always hoped in life, that my life would lead to a destiny of service, because indeed you are the richest when you serve your fellow wo(man). In a way, I am contributing, in a political way, in a war of words with writing letters, signing petitions and such. Mother Theresa was a beautiful person. One of my favorite sayings that she made was "Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier"-Mother Theresa another beautiful saying? "I do convert. I convert you to be a better Muslim or Jain or Buddhist. I would like to help you to find GOD.When you find him, it is up to you to do what you want with Him." Indeed, Mother Theresa was both Beautiful, and Wise.

I think Jesus would be lower middle class. Unstead of walking everywhere He would have a late model car or maybe a van so he could drive the disciples around.I don't know if He could get into the churches today. Or that the church would let Him in.Or would he try to go to a Jewish Temple? I don't know.I still think of Him traveling but maybe he would have His own public access show.

The thing that boggles my mind is how the bible says "Jesus was the exact representation of God His Father".. To think, not only the Son of God was humble and didn't lord it over the peons, so to speak (that being all of us) didn't demand support.. and riches or even lauding.. but was meek, gentle and humble.. And that is the exact representation of His Father..

indeed he did work as a healer, and a teacher. I cannot say that he'd be a "bum" or something today.I am sure a lot of people respected him even back in the day, and provided his lodging and food. I am sure that if I had his ability to heal, and to teach, indeed I could totally walk in his footsteps, and be just fine.

Hi Saralee! I believe Jesus would live the same way He lived over 2,000 years ago. He would be humble, poor, kind, caring, healing, preaching, saving sinners. Jesus said that He came to this world not to be served, but to serve. He would think of others...always and love every single human being. He lives within every believer.

To be Christlike is what makes a Christian. As Jesus was humbled, we all need to be humble too. As Jesus loved, we need to love too. Jesus was rich. He was rich with the likeness of God. Though he was a carpenter, Jesus had all the riches that he needed. He had a roof over his head, clothes on his back, food to fill his belly, and love that surrounded his life. If Jesus lived amongst us today, I think he would probably be living among the homeless today. He would probably be standing in the front of one of the convenient stores begging for change just to see how much people would give to him just because they see someone in need. I think Jesus would be living where he would be needed most.

To live as Jesus lived means we give God's things first place in our lives. Just as Jesus did, he preached mainly concerning the good news of God's kingdom,he even made his Fathers name Jehovah known to his disciples. So today, those who live as Jesus live are actively proclaiming the good news of God's kingdom today as the only hope for solution to mankind's problems. Find out who these are and you will have found the truth.Yes, I can be honest with you that among the hundreds of religions we have today, only one of them teaches What the Bible Really Teaches. "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you the only true God and of the one whom you sent forth Jesus Christ".[John 17:3]
