Appropriate Attire?

United States

I recently went to place an ad at a newspaper. When I walked in I wasn't sure I was in the right place. I thought I had walked into an escort service instead of a newspaper office. The girl at the desk had some very slinky top on that you could see almost all of her breasts. I know you guys love that sort of thing and I suppose some woman like it too, but I think there is a time and a place for that kind of dress, like the bedroom, the pool, maybe on a date. I think it is very tacky. What message are girls trying to send by dressing this way? What it tells me is that " I don't have anything intelligent to say so look at these". Any views on this subject? Maybe I'm getting it all wrong.

I agree with you completley. It is bad when you walk into a place that is supposed to office orientated and see this. Woman who work with the public should definitly be required to dress appropriately. Well any woman that works for the public should have to dress to uphold a certain image for the bussiness that she is working for.

I am in total agreement with you. I also think it is tacky and puts a bad reputation on the company. That is not proper work attire. I think businesses should have a dress code and when it is not adhered to, the person should be sent home to change. I hate to see what the next generation will bring.

That's for sure. I know if she would of been working for me I would of told her to put some clothes on or go home. Thank-you for responding.
