I try to take a multi-vitamin everyday with my breakfast. however, I don't always remember. at bed time, i always take a lysine supplement, which I always do remember because I take it with my other medication. However, I still work to maintain the nutrition in my diet especially with making sure I consume enough vitamins, iron and omega 3s

Yes, I take a multi-vitamin every day. I don't think I get everything I need out of my regular diet even though I try to eat good and healthy. I think taking a daily vitamin is a good idea. My doctor even asked if I take a multi-vitamin every day at my last doctor visit.

I also supplement because I am a picky eater there for I don't get everything that I am suppose to in my body. So I take vitamins in order to make sure that I am balanced. I think it is a good idea in general because no matter what everybody is missing something at some point in time.

Although I am eating sensibly, I still take vitamins E and iron daily. It's because it is not so easy to get vitamin e from the usual foods that we eat. Vitamin e is an anti-oxidant too, and makes your skin look younger like in my case.

Yes i agree with you this is why I have been taking food supplements myself. But, the supplements i take are considered by the bfad as food. They do not have the same side effects as those of the regular vitamins because of the content.

I take a supplement every day. Unless you are able to grow your own vegetables and are able to afford organic and buy meat from free roaming and grass fed animals (which is quite expensive\) you need one. Due to chemical fertilizers, etc. and the supplements they give to cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, etc. you need to eat more to get the necessary vitamins and minerals. I should also get cod liver oil for Omega 3, since the only way I can get enough is in some Yogurt.

I don't take any suppliment at all. No vitamines, no medicines. I eat a lot of vegitables and fish. I don't take milk as it is or with coffee tea etc., I don't eat ice creams only the conventional food of Kerala. a lot of rice and rice based foods, vegitables, fish, ocassionally chicken, fruits, nuts.Egg also I eat. I think minimum needs are covered by this. I am of the habbit of avoiding chemicals. Thank you.

It's important to take multivitamins but unfortunately our system doesn't absorb everything that is in the multivitamin easily. All of the nutrition we need is in the multivitamin, but your body only takes in 5%-10% of it, because it is not in an absorbable form. Liquid multivitamins absorb a lot better. I'm taking one that is 98% absorbable. If you want to learn more about liquid multivitamins, go to my blog and read the post "Advanced Liquid Nutrition" under the Health Tips category. ~Kythe42 http://lemurianphoenix.blogspot.com
