leaders r born and not made...

I always thought that was a pretty good question..=) I believe that leaders are a combination of both born and made. If one is not born with the capacity to lead others of course they wouldn't be able to lead people. Some examples of this is if someone is born with down syndrome, or some type of learning disability, or autism. These are all extreme examples of being born not capable. Some more reasonable examples are found through profiling people. Some people are just born with a personality that either does not want to take charge or is not capable of taking charge. Even if one is born with the ability to lead others that doesn't mean that they will. Many times a situation has to arise in order for the leader to come out in those who have the ability to lead. An extreme example of this is if a plane crashes in a deserted area and many people on board live there will be specific people who will step up and take charge of the situation. In many cases these people would have never took charge of any situation throughout their life unless they were put in that one situation that forced them to be a leader to their full abilities. That is just what I think about it. What do you think?=)

everybody is capable of being a leader but sometimes less are given this type of oppurtunity.

Leaders can be made and anybody willing to learn systems and adhere to the rules of the gam can be a leader and an effective one at that!

I belive that leaders are born. But, if they arent trained and educated properly they arent good leaders. There are many good leaders and also bad. But the great ones arethe ones that are born that way.

I tink that statement is total bull, you can't just be born and n=know ow to lead people. It's what happens to and around you that shapes you into a person that is able to leadand relate to thousands....

Leaders need leaders. What does that mean? I mean Leaders are made not born,actually most of the things in this world are made not born.It concerns with the environment where you grow up,the experience you had and whether you had a clear goal. If one is in charge of a group,maybe at first he'll not be really good at this.Right this time,he just need a good teacher to guide him.That's absolutely important.On the other hand,this guy also need to think about what to do and what not to do.Once he is determined,he could change the whole situation.

....Leading is just like moving a string we cant push it from behind ..to move forward we have to pull it from front ....Like this any initiative actions from a leader is the key for the successful response of his team..For this initiative to be truthful & capacitative..a leader must have deep rooted instincts without which his venture will fail... ! So born leaders ...people who used to lead even when they are kids ...what scientist calls as peer leaders ... !!! All ponits fingers to one fact that leaders are born not created..1!!

I believe being a leader requires passion from the person him/herself. To become a leader, you must WANT to become one.
