My son leaves this morning in about an hour on his mission trip to the Philippines.
He flies from Dallas to Minneapolis, Minnesota and then from there on to San Francisco, California for refueling.
They leave there and fly to Toyko and will have about 7 hour layover in Japan.
From there, they go on to Manila. All together, he will be in the air or in an airport for about 26 hours.
What is the longest flight you've ever taken? Or the one with the most airport stops.

I think that it is awesome that your son is going on a mission trip. Good for him!
The longest flight I have ever taken was from Toronto to Marguerita Island. I think it was just over 8 hours. It was really fun though~ they broke open the champagne as soon as we took off and we partied for a lot of the flight.

That sounds like fun! Did you fly first class? I don't think I've ever been on a flight where champagne was even offered. :)

It was a vacation package that we purchased. It was a huge plane with like 8 seats in the middle row. They served champagne to everyone on the flight free of charge as a start to our vacation. This was also 10 yrs ago~ now we are lucky to get a glass of pop.

You are so correct. The boys got fed twice...but gracious, they were on a plane for almost 25 hours!

I have never flown and I don't have a desire to do so. My mom has flown and she says it isn't so bad, but if I could, I would rather take a train. I love trains. I have only been on a touring train at a park but not a real passenger one that would take me from one city to another.
Sounds like your son has quite an adventure ahead of him. I pray that he has a lot of success!

Well, I've never been on a train either. I always wanted to get on Amtrek..which our big rail system here in the US and ride across the country. I think it would be so much fun!
