Have you ever experience this when you are depressed, stressed out or just lonely??? How can we avoid "binging" when we're depressed??

yeah... and it results really bad... maybe we just have to keep ourselves busy in other things and activities that will give us more productive and winning personality. just think about what might be the result of evry works we do. and just think for the sake of our selves. love our selves so that everybody can love us... just think positively..

I wish I knew the answer to that, I am always overeating. I just have this emotionally void that translates to hunger pangs which never seem to clear up.

I wish I had the answer to how to avoid beng eating from being depresssed or lonely or stressed out. I'm trying to keep busy, I alos drink a lot of water. I try to go for a walk instead. L also keep healther vegetabels anf fresh fruit for those time. The only problem with that is I really would rather have a nice big bowl of mashed potatoes

You find a way to get busy and work yourself out of the funk you find yourself in. Also have no junk in the house and then if you are eating it would be good food. I wish you luck if you are experiencing this since it can be tough to get out of.

I wish that someone here had a magical answer for this problem. It's a bad one that many of us share. When something goes wrong, I eat. My skinny husband, on the other hand, eats nothing when he's upset. I've always thought the difference was that I grew up with plenty of everything and a doting grandmother who fed me cookies and things to make me feel better and absolutely no girls close enough to play with. My husband grew up with very little and 3 brothers to play with. We are what we were brought up to be. Why does our society find those anorexic models and movie stars attractive anyway? Historically heavier was better because that meant that people were healthy and not dying of consumption or some other disease. I think we're trying to fit ourselves to body models that don't exist in our own make-up. Maybe we have the right idea for dealing with stress and it's the rest of the world that's wrong.

Well, the only way that works out for me is to find someone to talk to or find something to distract me so that I don't think about the problem until I am ready to face it.

We can avoid "binging" by thinking of the positive side of your life and all your past sucess..''cause everyday is not sunday. Every dog has his day. You may also come out of your depression by praying.
