I've decided to quit my standard day after day job to pursue my dream. Sounds scary huh? It is. I'm losing my mind. At times I feel it's the right thing and other times I feel like I'm ruining my life. I've wanted to act since I noticed there was such a thing as film and I've lived in a small town all my life so being able to do that was really hard. I put the dream on the back burner and lived a normal life. I got married and moved to a bigger city. My husband is going to school for game design now and I feel sorta left out. I love being a wife but I needed more for me. So I up and quit my secure job for acting...a really unsecure job. The day after I quit I put myself headfirst into this world. I am lined up with auditions and I'm getting my headshots done soon so I know in my heart this is supposed to work but I'm so scared. But I guess you never know what life is all about until you left go and just ride the wave. Anyways thanks for reading my little blog. I needed to get it out.

How did you book auditions so quickly after quitting your day job? Just curious, since I'm attempting to book some myself to follow my own dreams. Good luck to you on your dreams!

That's great! I have no doubt that it is a scary thing to do. But it is also brave. I'm sure there are TONS of people who wish they could quit their current job to pursue their true dream, but they are just to scared. And acting, that's a great dream to have. I love to act, but I really think I would do a lot better with writing. So that's what I am going to focus on for now (while still working part time).
Congratulations! I bet you'll do wonderful! Let us know how your audtitions go! Please!
It'll be really cool to learn what kind of parts you are auditioning for. Can you share that?

Congrats! You have done something I haven't had the guts to do. Having one child and one on the way kinda puts dreams on hold. But I hope to follow your example one day. At least you can never say that you didn't try! And I hope the best for you! I am sure that you will be a million times happier following your dreams then keeping them on the back burner. I know this is an older discussion but I just wanted to comment since I can relate to it so well.
