I am so bummed it is over. I loved their relationship. I watched it just daydreaming that one day my daughter and I would have such a great relationship. But daddy will probably interfere she is already a daddy's girl.

It was one of my faverite programmes EVER!!!!!!!!
I don't think anyone could have that good relationship with thier child/parent.
I'm gutted it's over i never missed an episode.

My friend actually has the connection with her daughter. I hate to say it but she too is a single parent I think that forms that mother daughter bond pretty tight. They are best buds and friends. Even in the teen years. She also had her daughter really young like Loreli. I still watch the repeats though. Not the same. I did love the traditional ending though. No tears at the commonness of the ending.

I was really sad when the show ended. Do you remember the episode in which Lorelai sings I will always love you and Luke enters. That's one of the best tv moments ever. After what happened between them would you have courage to sing such a song and look him in the eyes. I wouldn't. Lorelai was my role model although I know she is just fictional character but it is so nice to have someone you can look up too. I have never had any role models before her.
I saw Lauren in Evan Almighty and she was great but still can't stop thinking of her as Lorelai.

I am bummed too that it is over. I wish i could have that kind of relationship with my mom. We are close but there is a lot i don't tell her...
