Eating strange objects??

Do your dogs ever eat or have eaten any strange things? No matter how hard you hide things or high up you put items it will happen. The dog will get ahold of something that it shouldn't and eat it. Sadly, my puppy has been doing this for the past few days and of course after he eats the item he will then throw it back up within the next day. The count so far stands at 1 bra, 2 socks, a few frogs, cat poop (which is considered normal), paper, and a bird feather from our parrot. I keep telling him he's going to keep getting sick as long as he does this but he still won't stop. I have sprayed the repellent stuff everywhere and it works for awhile but nothing else will. So what does your dog like to eat when you're not looking? :-)

Our one dog ate all of my flip flops when I first moved in with my fiance. They're all in a flip flop cemetary in the back yard. Luckily, he stopped eating corners of the furniture.

That is bad. Dogs just love shoes of all types and furniture. I think the worse thing that they chew on is the furniture.

Yes my puppies eat all kinds of things. I do have to tell you, at my vets office there is a board that tells all things that are poisonous to dogs and cats. One thing is frogs, it says they could die, I don't know why. Now back to the discussion, my puppies like to reach through the fence and chew on wood chips from my flower garden. Then of course they puke it up. My older dogs like to, at night catch bugs that fall from the porch light and eat them, puking them up aswell. Don't know why. I guess it is just what puppies and dogs do.

True, everytime I take him outside for a potty break I walk him on his leash so I can try and keep him away from the frogs and the plants outside that he shouldn't get into. It's hard to keep them from eating every thing but I'm trying. He's a sneaky little dog and I think he grabs items when I turn my head to open the door. It's def. a dog thing for them to eat strange things.

Oh my goodness, I think that one tops everything. I think I would have thrown up if I had seen that.

Mine doesn't eat hidden objects but she will eat bugs if she manages to catch them. She also likes eating the furry part of her tennis balls which usually just comes out the other end. it doesn't seem to bother her to much so I don't really worry.

That's good. At least you don't have to worry about what she is going to chew up next.

True and why is it that after they eat it they immediately run to you and want to give you a big old kiss. I've yet to figure out how to hide the litter box.
