The leader of Scotland's Roman Catholics, Cardinal Keith O'Brien, has told Catholic politicians who back abortion they should consider their stance on receiving Communion.
The Cardinal said in a speech marking 40 years since the introduction of the Abortion Act that voters should boycott politicians who do not speak out against the procedure.
Jeremy Purvis, a Liberal Democrat member of the Scottish Parliament, said:"It is not right that we would be seen to be put under pressure". What are your views on the speech given by the Cardinal? Should politics and religion be kept separate?
