While I was a child and studying at school we used ink filling fountain pens. Then the ball pens gained popularity and fountain pens were virtually forgptten. However I still have a few fountain pens with me. Though I won't use them I keep them preserved. They include a Parker, a Swan, a Sheffers, a Pilot and a Hero. Some other Indian brand pens are also with me.
Do you keep any fountain pens?
Do you regularly use fountain pens?

Yea friend. We're almost thesame. When I was a kid, I was used to drawing cos my teacher used to give us home work to go and get them solved. I did used fountain pens to decorate them in a way they will look good. Thanks

Sadly No.the arrival of the re-filler pens or ball pens has changed the life of ink pens upside down.now a days people are using more ball pens .but there are still peple outthere who love to use fountain pens since they have been using for yrs and they have emotionally attached to it .some of them are still using the same pen which they are using for yrs.the reason for changing to ball pen is the ink and lot of the time when we try to refill the fountain pen the ink may make our hand dirty if we dont fill it care fully .since refillers are available now a days easily in everynook and corner people are using more of ball pens.

Since I left school I don't have to use them anymore. I think from the time children are 9 or 10 they are requireed to use them in school here, as it is believed it improves their penmanship.
Personally, I don't like using them. They're messy, they leak, and they clog. Give me a Bic instead anyday of the week!

I have not seen a fountain pen in such a long time. I don't even think that I could get the ink refills. I use the ball point and daughter likes the gel pens. Those were cool pens just had to be careful since they could leak and even make a stain where you didn't want it. Glad to hear that someone still has these pens.

Yes willowlady, you are right. Generally no one use fountain pens these days. However I have one friend. He is nearly sixty and he will only use fountain pens. No matter the leak and stains he stick to it. I keep those pens as collectable.
Thank you for the response.
