Has anyone heard of Dental College?

From what I hear it's like those colleges that give free or reduce haircuts so the students can get some experience. My oldest son needs a lot of dental work, and we have no dental insurance and just can't afford it. Does anybody know anything about dental colleges, where they are located, if you have gone there, anything would be appreciated.
