Do you have light colored eyes? My eyes are blue and really light sensitive and sometimes they water when I watch TV too long or when I go to the movie theater. I also have allergies that make them itch. If your eyes are constantly watering then you may want to see an eye specialist.

I have noticed that people with lighter eye color have eyes that are more sensitive to light which can make your eyes water. My husband and I both have light eyes and we both have problems with outdoor light and have to wear sunglasses when we go outside.

Hi sugar. Sounds like you are allergic to something. It may be dust mites or pollen. Does it happen in one area? Or everywhere? Hope you feel better.

My grandmother's eyes watered all the time. Unfortunately, she was allergic to chocolate. The doctor said that is why is her eyes watered. That didn't stop her from eating chocolate! If your eyes are itchy or burning - there is a good possibility there is an allergy (I'm not a doctor or a nurse either - I'm just speaking from my experiences.) I had to get a prescription eye drop. Same thing for my daughter. Hope you find out soon!

If it happens all the time, are your eyes burning? You may have something called "Dry Eye Syndrome" it causes excessive tearing. The lubricants within your eyes have 3 layers. One is a fatty layer that keeps the liquid in your eyes moist on the eyes. If you are lacking in any of the layers your eyes will be dry and excessive tearing will result in an attempt to moisturize the eyes to no avail. If the liquid does not have the right percentage of the 3 layers of lubricant your eyes will actually dry out and become sore and sensitive to light. Dry Eye Syndrome has nothing to do with the tears themselves, but the layers of the types of lubricants within the tears. A product called Natural Tears can help a lot.
