Do you do good at commenting your responses back? Do you dislike discussions where there are no comments made by the poster? I make an effort to comment my responders, the responses that stand out to me more or are lengthy get commented. Now some discussions perhaps "What is your favorite pizza?" I may not make comments unless I see a response which does stand out then I will. Do you comment your responses on discussions such as that? I dont like seeing discussions in which no comment is made to anybody, it is very hard to comment everybody who responds but atleast to see a few comments here and there lets you see that the discussion is acknowledged by the poster. I have seen heartfelt discussions that ask for advice and people give lengthy good responses to these and no comments are to be seen! What are your views on this? Please share.....Do you make efforts to give comments? Do you comment every response? How do you go about this? Do you dislike discussions with no comments? Thank you for sharing your opinions :)

I try to comment back to everyone that responses to my discussions. Sometimes there is nothing to say to them so I don't but for the most part I do. When I first started MyLot I didn't but I have learned that I made more friends this way (a few enemies too). I don't like to respond to people that don't interact with their responders, a discussion is just that and if you are not answering then it can't be called a discussion.

I agree with that, some people do treat it as only a question. I would like to comment everyone who responds to my discussions but it would be too time consuming so I do it for those who gave noteworthy responses or wrote a long response and took that time.

i only comment on responses to my discussions that are deserving of a response. it drives me nuts when the person who started the discussion says a token "thanks for responding" to each and every person who did. i dont think you earn anything for doing that either..i recall seeing something in the guidelines...

I do the same thing, comment a few users who deserve a comment back, sometimes I will have the whole first page of those deserving comments and only one that has one line it can look bad especially to that person if everybody got commented around them but I never comment to one-liners there is not much effort there.

When we make responses on others topic, naturally we want some comments from the topic posters, may be positive or negative in nature. By this other's comment we come to know about our weaknesses. So it is essential for all of us to make back comments on responses, comments. I spare time for this also. I also check responses which I have made yesterday. Though in my yahoo mail this comments also come. Auto sytem is there. I think all have this type of facility.
