I have a misbehaving kitty!

My kitty is driving me crazy. He always wants to jump up on me, and has many times, successfully, other times he misses, and leaves scratches down my arms and legs. I look like I have been attacked by a wild bear or something! the claw marks are not pretty down my legs at all. He then began jumping up on the stove when there were hot things on it, jumping up on the dining table while we were eating numerous occasions, and even constantly walks across my keyboard when I am working on it. Indeed because I am home I give him a good deal of attention, and allow him to sleep in the bed with my husband and I, but he really has some behavioral problems I am not familiar with. can anyone help???

Welcome to having a kitten :) Ours do that at times too. All you can do is gently remind them where they shouldn't go and what they shouldn't do. Most will learn in time with the claws to not use them, although accidents still happen, and as they get older they don't miss as often. With the rest good luck. Our cats go where they want no matter what we say or do. I often have them in my lap, on my monitor, furniture, you name it. Most know though when food is on the table not to go there.
