Ideally, doctors should make sure to do no harm to their patients and fully attend to their medical needs. However, saddening as it may really seem, in reality, it is just often not the case. To be sure, there are various reasons why, even if there is seriously a very seeming need from the patients, doctors tend to refuse to treat them. For one, a patient may not exactly need the treatment that he wants, given the objective prognosis of a doctor. Treatment could also not be given to a patient if it would perhaps cause more harm compared to the potential benefits that may come out of it. Further, flimsy as it may seem, treatment could be denied if the doctor values monetary compensation more for his services, and the patient that he should treat would not be able to afford the cost of such treatment. Another reason could be the current emotional state of the doctor, who could not separate his emotions from his professional life, when a patient approaches him for treatment. The feeling of patients who were refused treatment could certainly be one of justifiable frustration, if not extreme anger and disgust, toward the concerned doctor. It goes without saying, though, that these are perhaps just some of the numerous reasons why doctors refuse to treat patients in need of urgent medical attention. Ultimately, regardless of the circumstance, I truly feel that doctors should, as much as possible, and as a matter of professional and ethical duty, make the health of their patients their primary concern.

I just have to sincerely talk to him and ask his reason/s for doing such. If he could not justify it, I would just have to live with that unfortunate fact and probably look for a new doctor who will surely take care of my medical needs. If his acts are justified, though, I feel that I just have to learn to understand and forgive him.

I will just feel like another patient. Doctors tend to do that especially those who are terminally ill...I will demand for my right to be treated
