Do you wait for dinner for your partner ?

I have this habit of waiting up for my husband for dinner, no matter what time he comes home. Sometimes we have dinner as late as 1 in the night if he comes home late from work. The only exception i made to this rule was when I was pregnant. I don;t feel like eating dinner if he isn't around.

If I make dinner and place it on the table and he doesn't get to the table to join me, I start without him. Why wait and let my meal get cold. He can always warm his up.

yes, I do always wait for my husband to have dinner together. I think that's already start from the beginning of our marriage. I do not really like to eat dinner by myself. Just feel very strange about that.

I always want to eat together with family members. I feel sharing food on the table is a blessing for good relationship and good health. It is sad to eat alone. I eat more when I have companions on the table. Enjoying good conversation in table is also part of a fullfiling life. My nephew does not want to eat on the table with me. Young people have changed. He will take his food and eat infront of the TV. I remembered praying before meal and singing before meal there is so much joy to recieve the blessing from God for the abundance of food on the table. Today I seldom enjoy those past moments of eating as a happy activity.

i almost always wait for my husband to sit down to eat before i eat. i like to spend that quiet time with him. that is when the tv is off, and we have our conversation about how our days went. this is especially true since we have 2 children now. i would like for them to appreciate some quiet family time. this is probably the only time of the day when we will all sit down together and talk and listen as an entire family. they are still very young right now, but its better to start good habits at a young age. there are times when my huband is too busy or has something else that he has to take care of before he can eat dinner. if its under an hour, we wait for him, but if its going to take to long, we will eat before him.

You might not like it but I bet your husband loves and appreciates the fact that you do it! He is a lucky man!

Yes of course, to me I think it's rude to not wait.

I like waiting for dinner with my partner. After a long day it's nice to be able to unwind by eating dinner and talking about your day and what happened. It's just nice to be able to share that time with someone. I really don't like eating meals alone, I'd rather be with someone else so I'll wait for my partner if I can help it.

eating - alone makes the food dull
i do that too! since we live with my mother-in-law, she gets to eat earlier than we do. most of the time, my husband arrives late but i still wait for him. i like eating with him becuase we can talk about how our day was and if anything good or bad happens. it is like our bonding time for the day because after we eat, we'd already prepare for bed. this is the only time that we can relax with each other.
