What Do You Do With Loud Neighbors?

just simply report them to the authorities, file a complaint therein. it will be up to them to do the next move. this is a prohibited act, being a public nuisance is undesirable to everyone. if the authorities cannot make them do it, see if the neighbors are also disgruntled. scout around and feel for yourself if you can possibly file for a neighborhood petition-complaint. this is something which no authority can ignore. make a five-copy petition-complaint to be signed by all the disgruntled neighbors. then see what happens after having filed it. that's how we do it here. we can even cause the eviction of a misbehaving neighbor this way or have a establishment close down.

not to sound stereotypical, but if it's loud techno every night...they're probably partying, and it probably involves something illegal. a call to the authorites would probably lead to an arrest on a charge other than the noise complaint...and shut them up.

I am not sure about the law where you live but here in our city there is a noise curfew. On week nights it is 10:00 pm and weekends it is 11:00 pm. We have some of those neighbors behind us and we call the cops as do the neighbors around us. After doing that a few times it is much quieter in the neighborhood now.
