No. To answer your question, you can recover such files using an undelete utility, so long as they haven't already been overwritten. There are lots of undelete programs out there, but I've found precious few that actually work. My favorite is File-Saver, which is a commercial program.

it is quite hard to explain but i will try my best to explain it. when you delete a file it goes on your recycle bin which is the trash of the computer.. now once you erase everything on your recycle bin where does it go? basically this is what happens.. the deleted files from the bin goes to a spot on your hard drive where in the operating system detects its origin but this files are hidden. hidden because microsoft wouldn't want you to see it since you have already deleted it. but even though this file still exist. once you have entered another data that needs more hard disk space, the operating system will then over write the hidden deleted file. once it is overwritten the old file is gone and is now replaced with the new file. i hope you somehow understood my simple explanation.

this is also the reason why some programs can actually retrieve deleted files from the recycle bin. they reveal the hidden file making it exist again. but once a file has been over written, there will be no way for you to retrieve it.. i hope you like it.. thank you..

File in recycle bin will be terminate after we delete file on it. To make this explanation become easy i will give you an example. For Example recycle bin same functions with dust bin before we burn the garbages on dustbin we put in dustbin . In dustbin we have a choices to take back a paper or document that we think that not rubbish same with recycle bin in computer. If we delete file on recycle bin automatically terminate because same with some thing in the dustbin and we make choice to burn it.

I would just like to add that even with deleted files being over written there are still possible ways to retrieve the information but this takes time and someone who knows what they are doing.

When you delete a file from the recycle bin, it is de-listed from the index. The actual binary data still remains on the disk, until overwritten with new data.

Pretty much this has already been explained by the person above me, but I liked the question. Files tend to hide themselves all over the place until we reformat the computer. Evil lil files. :)
