My boy is in the wars at the moment. He has a sore foot, and we dont know what he has done. He had an xray on thursday, but nothing showed up. So he now has to go for a scan. I suppose i worry a bit much about it, but 2 1/2 years ago he had osteomyalitus in his other foot and i dont want anything like that to happen again. He also had a good stack off his bike a few days ago and sliced his knee. He keeps hurting it, as he doesnt slow down (typical boy) and is quite rough. Then last night he decides to play with a stapler. I told him to leave it alone as it isnt a toy. But he didnt listen, and next thing he gets a staple in his finger! The poor thing was in tears. It hurt a lot. We got it out, but it was pretty sore, so he stayed quiet the rest of the night. Wasnt sure if he would be able to play football today, but he was fine, apart from his knee again. There always seems to be one in the family who always gets hurt. Do you have the same in your family?

It really does sound like your son is in the wars at the moment. I find with my kids, they seemed to go through this too every now and then. I feel like when it starts, they seem to have quite a few things happen to them before it stops. I think my kids have days where they seem to be really clumsy. Hope your son will have a better day today.

Well, he hasnt hurt himself today, thankfully. He wanted to climb up the ladder to get a ball off the roof today, but there was no way i was letting him. It does seem to have a run of it though and then they have a good run and dont have any accidents. He should be coming up for a good run soon. Thanks for your response and best wishes to you, chook

Oh the poor little kid Kay. How's he doing now. Couldn't they save themselves a lot of grief if they listened and obeyed? It will be interesting to watch him grow up and find out the sort of adult he will be. Will he always do his own thing regardless of the risks? Will he continue to take risks but only after careful consideration of all the possible consequences? Or will he perhaps become extra careful as an adult? In our family it was my brother...he was just a bit of a klutz and with 3 older sisters a bit of a sook as well. He grew out of it in his teens though. He wasn't always in strife, just every once in a while....none of us had broken bones or anything. My kids were pretty good in that way. Hope your headache has gone. (I know I'm a few days late but I'm faithfully catching up, everything is fine with me.) Hugs to you.

It will be interesting to see how he will grow up. Hopefully he willbe more careful as he gets older, but somehow i think he will always keep me on my toes. My headache is heaps better, glad everything is fine with you. Thanks for your response, and best wishes and some hugs for you too.
