it's a sad thing to know that most kids/children in other countries doenst pay much attention to their sick parent/s and ended up living at the aged home or alone by themselves..

This is more due to the brought up environment, situation and consequences. Take myself for example, since young I am trained by my parent and grand-parent that I had to be independent. Though I do not show affectionate or hug them all the time. But, my parent know that we love them. Moreover, my parent do not want to stay with any of their kids as they want us to set up our own family. They just want us to call them frequently and visit them when we are free. It all depend on case by case basis.

righ, i agree with what you have commented, it's really a case to case basis. and i also would like to add that's depennds on an individual. which i do respect. i just hope that my nieces would do something for their mom in anyway they could, a phone call is a huge help though..
