To what extent can you say these words are abused?

Mostly, I don't think "thank you" and "sorry" are abused. More likely, I think they are underused nowadays, because in our fast pased world today, people tend to think more about themselves and forget others, that they forget to utter these words. I would rather hear more of these coming out from people's mouths, especially those that say these with sincerity when the situation calls for it.

I think sorry can be abused at times especially when there is no real feeling behind it but the word Thank you I think is forgotten a lot these days, there are a lot of young people today who take so much for granted these days they don't seem to remember to thank people.
