Satellite?

Any object revolving around a heavenly body is called a satellite .Now there are two types of satellites man made and natural satellite . man made satellites are launched into space and set inorbit at specific heights from earth they perform many functions of remote sensing and data transmission.

A satellite is an object which has been placed into orbit by human endeavor. Such objects are sometimes called artificial satellites to distinguish them from natural satellites such as the Moon
