When and before the state of Israel was born, there were some special Israeli collective communities that called "Kibbutz". The Kibbutz combines Socialism ideas next to Zionism and agronomy. The Kibbutz was made by the people of the "second aliyah" that founded the community Degania that later called "the mother of all Kibbutzim". In the Kibbutz, all the members live with participation, help each other etc... Every member works for the Kibbutz and get an equal money for his needs, like the rest of the members. In the Kibbutz there were big dining rooms, and the whole members ate together... There was also a children house, where all the kids lived while their parents worked on fields etc... But, nowadays the special Kibbutz is no longer exist in Israel. All of them became more modern and less communal, and now everybody on the Kibbutz works for his own money, there are no more children house etc...

I know all this because I live in Israel. As an Israeli, I learned about the building of Israel and founding of the Kibbutzim is a part of the education we need... Can I ask how do you know about the Kibbutz?

Hey vonne i am n israeli too, and i did live in the kibbutz for a few years. there is a big difference between what the kibbutz was years ago and what it is like now. First of all a kibbutz is usually placed in a very beautiful nature environment of israel, there are usually small communities there, there are kibbutzim that have 20 people living in them and there are kibbutzim that there are 1000 of people living in them. It is a closed community, with their own rules of people that still live by the old ideology of israel. There are many great things in a kibbutz, they share the same dining room, they eat together, the children are very secure and grow up together all their life in small communities with personal care, i really recommend you to come and visit. :)

I am so glad to know that all from you. I think it's very exciting and so interesting to live in kibbutz. It's nice to experience like that. I hope someday i could come and visit Israel especially in kibbutz. Thanks a lot liranlgo.

Well I guess you could see it as unusual, but I think it is pretty cool. Like when your family gets together with other families to go camping and how you help each other from setting up tents to borrowing sugar.. This is just a different way to survive and it works for them..

Yeah, I am glad to know more about it too. I learned about it from a book (can't remember the author), and the author walked Israel from the north to south. I believe the Kibbutz was in northern Israel in this book..
