my son has a desire to go to college to earn a degree in pharmacology. he was homeschooled for all but his senior year - we do not know where to begin as far as looking for a school, what requirements are necessary obtaining tuition assistance, grants etc. Would really like to learn of a program where you promise to work for a company for a set number of years and they pay your tuition. Anyone have any experience, advise, guidance for us in this endeavor?

You can look online to get some information or go to the school counsler. I homeschooled my daughter for 6 years and she is in college well actually University. If your son has all the requirments for college it shouldn't be no problem he may want to take some classes online. I remember after my daughter graduated she had her transcripts at her school (homeschool) to her University.

thank you for the reply. this past year we sent him to a boarding school - we figured he would be a junior but they placed him as a senior. He graduated with a 3.7 GPA, so I guess that is pretty good.

I agree with the previous response. The school counselor is really going to be the best place to start looking for some help. If they can't help you then do the internet. I know that in our state there are even some colleges and universities that offer full scholarships to individuals that meet certain requirements such as living in a certain area, studying a specific program or even having a certain GPA. You can also try looking up schools that he's interested in and seeing what type of scholarships or financial aid that they offer. Good Luck!!!
