What dog do you preffer

I prefer German Shepherd's. I am a bit biased in that because of 2 shepherd's my dad owned. One was a typical German Shepherd, Rudy, he was playful and was bought as a companion do for my step mother, my dad did maintenance and could be gone most of the day easily. The other was Thor. Thor was a head taller then Rudy, or most German Shepherds I had met before. Thor was a trained guard/attack dog. But around those he knew, Thor was as gentle as anything. My neice is a year younger then Thor was. And while she was growing up, Thor became her protector above anything. He would climb the steps behind her when she was still only crawling to make sure she didn't fall. The would end up sleep together, my neices head laying safe and sound on Thor. The only thing that was always necessary was to introduce Thor to any friends I would bring over to visit. I twice saw Thor when a stranger arrived. I would not have wanted him to be loose if it was me. Thor is the type of dog I would want more than anything.
