Magic for Maddie

Harry Potter is going to try and use his magic in an attempt to find missing Madeleine McCann. Maddie has been missing now for over 4 weeks, taken from her holiday home in Portugul. Now, Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling is going to enclose a bookmark with a picture of Madeleine in an attempt to increase publicity and return Madeleine to her distraught parents. This I think is a wonderful and inspired generous gift from the author, and will give an uplift, not only to Madeleine's parents but also to everyone involved in looking for the missing chid.

Every little bit helps. I think the Pope getting involved really helped the parents. She is a really beautiful little girl I pray she comes home safely.

BTW I saw an interview with the parents. The father sounded Scottish does anyone know where he is from?

As far as I know both parents are Scottish, and worked in hospitals in both Glasgow and Paisley before emigrating to England

Thanks. The mother had a pretty heavy English accent, perhaps she acquired it in England. Thank again as I was curious.

She still hasn't been found, but hopefully all the publicity being given will help to trace her.

Thanks for sharing this information Eskimo, I hadn't heard of this and really must agree with you that it is an inspired and generous idea! Let us hope that by continuing to highlight the case of little Maddy we will see her safe return to her family and also that all of us parents will realise that it is too easy for someone to take our children and learn to be much more protective!! xxx

This could help considerably in finding Maddie, its nice to know that even millionaires can help out, Sir Philip Green lent the parents his private jet to fly to Rome for an audience with the pope as well.
