im a student and during free days i snooze and only wake up when i feel like it, which usually is during lunch time. now i realize the hours i wasted, lying in bed, while the rest of the world is up before dawn, and in ready activity while i was deep in REM. is feeling guilty over oversleeping something i should ignore, or is this a sign that i should start waking up earlier, school or no school?

I envy you that you could sleep as much as you want. You see, I work at night in a call center and sleep is something I crave for. I usually get 5 hours of sleep during weekdays and so I tried to sleep as much as I can on weekends, i.e., if I'm not myLotting. Don't feel guilty for sleeping too much. You're young and you're body needs it. Someday, when you're already working, you would wish that you can have the time to sleep as much as you want.

thanks. it made me feel a bit less guilty about over-sleeping. i do sympathize with people working at call centers like you. i have friends who work at call centers too, some on the graveyard shift, and all they can say is that, its not pretty. hang in there, and i hope you get as rested as you possibly can :)

Please do not feel guilty or I will start to feel guilty too. I sleep a lot too but then again, I dream a lot. Sometimes when I wake up, I feel that I have done more things in my dreams than I have when I am awake.
